When I made the star decoration it struck me that I could use the glass tile technique, but using 1inch(2.5cm) clear plastic stickers, to personalise some Christmas cards. I think most children would be happy to get a card with their face on, these little Eskimos are the result. The pattern is here if you want to make one.
Hint - when you cut the pieces of felt lay them out the right way up so that they stay in pairs
If your child always wears green boots and blue gloves it is worth trying to match them in your card. I made the 'fur' edging by crocheting a chain in eyelash yarn the right length to go round a face and then fastening off the yarn. I added felt hair and embroidered features to the felt faces. Felt hates sticking to anything so I cut a circle of paper a little smaller than the hood and stuck the face and fur edging to that. When they were dry I stuck the paper to the hood. I embroidered and stuck a few details onto the coats stuck the jacket to the body and trimmed the card with sticky ribbon.
