I've gone a bit nautical today. I was born by the sea on one side of the country and now I live by the sea on the other side so perhaps that's why boats seem to feature on a lot of my cards. The fabric card is made with mounting film. This is two layers of acetate with a stick centre(like double sided tape). For this card I peeled off one side and stuck the adhesive side to the back of the fabric. This stops the fabric fraying when I cut out the shapes. You could peel off the remaining side and back the shapes with card but because the acetate is quite stiff I leave it in place and use to keep it in position. The mast is a tooth pick.
How to tie the knots
Figure of eight Knot
I attached the knots with tape inside an A5 card and then lined it with a slightly larger gold card.If you want the card to fit standard envelopes trim a little from the edges of an A5 card and use a second A5 card to line it.
