Bolster cover (pillowcase end)

The trouble with putting something new in a room is that things which used to look ok start to show their age. The daybed looked fine until I put the beanbag on it. So today I made matching bolster and cushion covers which has really cheered the room up. Then I went to the crochet class and learned how to make snowflake decorations after which I absconded as it is far too late in the year to waste a nice day like this working inside. The pattern is here if you want to make one.

Bolster cover (pillowcase end)
Fabric 61 1/2 inches (154cm) x 20 inches(50cm)  (front)
           61  inches(152.5cm)   x 20 inches(50cm)  (back)
           12  inches(30cm)        x 20 inches(50cm)  (flap)

3/8 inch(1cm) seam allowance allowed throughout
If material is likely to fray zigzag stitch round all pieces staying inside seam allowance
Turn up and sew a 3/8 inch(1cm) wide hem along one short side of front and one long side of flap
Right sides together join other long side of flap to short side of back

Place front and back right sides together so that hem edge on front is along flap/back seam
Fold flap over front
Join sides ( including flap) and unhemmed short end
Turn right side out
